A father of two of the kids in class is a firefighter, and brought his firefighting gear in to show everyone.
He went over some basic fire safety with everyone. The kids were very interested in what he had to say.
He put on his gear, and explained how it kept him safe.
He went around the circle, and made the kids laugh.
He talked about the safety gear on his coat.
And then let them try on his turnout gear and check out his mask and hat.
They practiced crawling low.
And checked out the fire gear again.
There was a lot of curiosity and lots of questions and the kids had lots of fun while learning more about firefighters.
